Greystones Community College 1st Year Information Evening
Greystones Community College were delighted to welcome a large number of parents and guardians of 1st Year students to the college on Thursday 8th September. The session proved to be informative and valuable for those supporting students on their new journey of second-level education. The college looks forward to many more educational conversations over the coming years and months.
Greystones Community College are Hiring
As Greystones Community College continues to grow and develop, the college is seeking to recruit for two key positions on the team: a Full-Time Special Needs Assistant and a Caretaker/Maintenance (19.5 hours per week). Student Leadership Team Appointed at Greystones Community College
With the campaigning window and voting now closed, Greystones Community College are delighted to announce the outcome of its Student Leadership Team elections. Students from each year group were successful at the polls. Congratulations to the Third Year Student Leadership Team Representatives: Naomi Wall, Haylie Foley, Amber Kilkenny and Zoé Gombos. Congratulations also to First Year Student Leadership Team Representatives Rhys Murray, Luca de Oliveira, Constantino, Laila Boufarsse and Peyton Foley and, finally, to Second Year students Evan Darcy, Leo Carrick, Pola Kedziora and Katie Farrell. A number of those elected are returning to their position for a second term, having made a very positive impact last year. GCC Management looks forward to working with the Student Leadership Team for the coming year on a range of initiatives and events in Greystones Community College and to collaborating to build on GCC's success.
Maths Support Centre at Greystones Community College
Following the success of the MSC last year, it commences again this week for Greystones Community College students. The Maths Support Centre is a space for some extra support with maths homework and study. It is a drop-in service and students may come every week, just before a test, for help with a certain topic or to catch up on missed material, if absent. Those students doing Study Unplugged or Homework Club can also drop in with any homework questions they may have. Additionally, maths puzzles, games and activities are available for those looking to be challenged more and to build on their numeracy skills. All GCC students are welcome and encouraged to attend as they would like.
