Hiking at Greystones Community College

The GCC Hiking Club continues to see its numbers grow, with new members joining for every hike. This past week, the club had an enjoyable trip out to the Glen of the Downs. Students explored the looped woodland trail of the Glen of the Downs Nature Reserve. With the weather playing its part on the day, everyone enjoyed exploring this beautiful former part of the Bellevue Estate, including the building at the summit, commonly known as ‘The Octagon’. This was used as a hunting lodge and tea rooms of the estate in times gone by. After the Easter break, the Club will continue its hikes in the local area.

Greystones Community College agus Coláiste Ráithín, Bré

Greystones Community College wishes to extend huge thanks to their friends and colleagues in Coláiste Ráithín, Bray. Coláiste Ráithín students and teachers hosted a visit from 1st year GCC students, providing them with a valuable opportunity to practice their cúpla focal. The day-long visit was a great display of collaboration between the two Kildare and Wicklow ETB schools. Students enjoyed caint, comhrá, cairdeas agus craic - gan trácht ar an damhsa! In return, Greystones Community College look forward to welcoming the TY students from Coláiste Ráithín to their own school very soon. A leithéid de lá! Tiocfaimid le chéile lenár dteanga.
