The Library Council are delighted to share with you our first edition of our magazine ‘Beneath the Wreath’. This magazine was born early in September when our first ever Library Council members came together to discuss ideas and their hopes for what the group could achieve within their first year. It was agreed that the group would publish a collection of texts from the student body bi-annually, to include student produced pieces of writing of all shapes, sizes and genres - short stories, extracts from novels students are writing, poems, reflections, book reviews - the list we are sure will continue to grow. We loved this idea and so with the help of our teachers, Ms. Puente and Ms. Doyle this magazine has come to life.
In our first edition you will find a number of different pieces from students from 1st right up to 4th Year. We would like to thank all of the students who submitted entries to our magazine, as this could not be possible without your support and enthusiasm for all things reading and writing. We hope that this magazine will continue to grow and look forward to making plans for our second edition which will be published before the summer holidays! So, grab yourself a warm drink, sit back, relax and enjoy! Wishing all our readers a restful and peaceful break.
