‘Study Unplugged’ will continue to be provided for students. This facility will allow students to get into good routines and practices with study and homework coming up to Summer exams. ‘Study Unplugged’ will provide 2 hours of supervised study three days a week. This will not only allow students to complete homework in a conducive environment but will also facilitate parents and guardians who work in the afternoons and will enable students to go home at 5pm and have their homework complete and hopefully some productive study also. Some details of the programme are outlined below:
- ‘Study Unplugged’ will operate four days per week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3.20pm to 5.20pm. It will not run-on Wednesdays as there are numerous extra-curricular activities on offer on Wednesdays.
- A roll call will be taken each day and attendance will be recorded in the student journal.
- Students will be granted permission to attend extra-curricular activities. A note from the person in charge of the activity will be required before late entry to study is permitted.
- Students must comply with the school’s code of behaviour when participating in ‘Study Unplugged
I would encourage all students to consider joining ‘Study Unplugged’. The programme will provide students a suitable atmosphere and environment to progress their studies resulting in a better quality of homework and a superior set of grades in examinations. If interested in joining study unplugged, please email the school gcc@kwetb.ie for an update on available places and nominal contribution.
