In 2023, Greystones Community College introduced its first Transition Year Programme. Transition Year (TY) is a one-year programme designed to act as a bridge between the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate programmes. Each school designs its own Transition Year programme, within set guidelines, to suit the needs and interests of its students.
Our Transition Year Plan has been guided by our overall school vision:
‘To leave no stone unturned in creating a dynamic, vibrant and inclusive school of excellence which is embedded in the community and delivers a high quality and innovative education in a caring environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential’.
Following extensive research into best practice and collaboration with our network schools, Greystones Community College Transition Year Programme is designed to focus not only on our students academic development but To learn more about the different elements of our Transition Year Programme, please browse the information provided across the different areas;
