A warm welcome from Na Galláin GCC - Head Students Callum Halpin Rooney & Naomi Wall
We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as the first head students of Greystones Community College. We have both been students in Greystones Community College since the first day the school opened. Back in the early days in 2020, GCC had just over sixty students and a handful of teachers. It has been amazing to watch the school grow and evolve each year. Despite the dramatic changes annually, It has always maintained a welcoming, respectful and warm atmosphere among the students and staff, which has created a lovely community to be a part of.
Greystones Community College has really proven that a school is so much more than its building. It is about the connections and valuable relationships that are made within it. Our school stands on the foundation of respect, excellence and pride. The environment in our school is focused around having respect in our relationships, excellence in our endeavors and pride in our achievements. This has been the environment since the first day which has been created through the dedicated and hardworking staff and students who want to reach their full potential.
As Na Galláin Head Students, we are looking forward to supporting and representing the voice of the students and the school. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to represent Greystones Community College in many different ways over our past few years and we can't wait to continue to do so as the newly appointed head students. We hope that by extending a warm welcome, being approachable and kind, as well as sharing our experiences and knowledge; we can make the journey through secondary school easier for the younger students.
