It is with great sadness that the school community of Greystones Community College learned of the sad death of our very dear friend, classmate and 3rd year student Sebastian Cameron Khan in recent days. Seb will always be very fondly remembered by the entire GCC community but especially by his close friend network in our school and the many teachers, SNAs and support staff who had the privilege of working with him over the past 3 years.
We fondly remember the very positive impact that Seb has made on all of us and on Greystones Community College – particularly his witty sense of humour, his upbeat nature and positivity and his kindness and friendship which he shared with us in abundance. Our hope and expectation now is that we mirror this in how we support one another.
It was GCC's privilege to provide a very strong and united show of support for Seb and his family with a poignant Guard of Honour as he left his home on his final journey. It has been a difficult two weeks for our school but we want to encourage all students to continue to reach out and connect with our student support team in the weeks ahead. There is always someone here at GCC to lend an ear and to offer guidance and support.
