As we approach a very welcome Christmas break let’s focus on the positives which can be difficult in the current environment of rising cases and potential restrictions. Our wonderful school under the fantastic leadership of Mr Farrell with his year head team of Mr Blake and Ms Wray has had a great term. Despite tripling in size the feeling of family and the sense of a caring staff looking out for our kids continues. The extra activities that the school is involved in from Tidy Towns to Enterprise week via the Maths Olympiad and Amber and Green flag initiatives all the way to Creative Schools give our children a chance to also participate and excel outside of the usual academic and sporting boundaries. The guest speakers from such organizations as Triple A Wicklow and the work with Jigsaw shows how all students are valued equally.
The Parent Leadership Team continues to work away in the background to keep the pressure on all parties involved to ensure our permanent school building gets completed as quickly as possible.
So let’s look forward to the Spring Term which will bring more exciting events including hopefully a move into our fabulous new temporary home in Eir Og which is nearing completion and is so well equipped it looks anything but temporary!
Happy Christmas from the entire Parent Leadership Team.
