Greystones Community College Bunchloch Awards
A special presentation was made this week to four 1st Year students (Joshua Beck, Evan Darcy, Jane Pan and Ena Dowling) and to three 2nd Year students (Kevin Parle, Emma Lewis and Saoirse McGann). These students were awarded the Buncloch; a special prize which acknowledges their commitment to the foundation-stone ideals of the college - Pride, Excellent and Respect. Through their studies this month and their exemplary attitude to school life, these students have left no stone unturned in their own learning. Sincere congratulations to all of the deserving recipients.
Greystones Community College Hiking Club
This week, the Greystones Community College Hiking Club had its first outing in the local community, on a stunning autumnal day. The hike, led by Ms Rachel Byrne and Mr Enda Byrne, took the students through the Delgany Heritage Trail. Well done to all the hikers and their leaders. The College looks forward to seeing where their next adventure will take them.
European Week of Languages at Greystones Community College
With European Week of Languages now concluded, the much-anticipated announcement of the winners of the Poster Competition was made at Assemblies. Congratulations to 1st Year students Joshua Jacob (French) and Charlotte Burns (Spanish) and to 2nd Year students Marina Hernandez (Spanish) and Adam Kopec (French). Their posters creatively and colourfully brought to life cultural and language elements of both France and Spain. Well done also to all the participants of the competition, who left the judges with a difficult role of choosing just four winners!
