Financial Literacy Innovation

4 students from Greystones Community College were in Croke Park to attend the launch of the CCPC's Global Money Week 2025. To promote Financial Literacy in secondary schools, the CCPC awarded sponsorship to 86 different projects from around the country. Greystones Community College is proud to be one of the 13 schools selected to showcase their initiative at the launch event.
As part of their Financial Literacy module in 4th Year; Pola Keeziora, Anna Dillane, Sara Smyth Fagan and Lucy Tyndall designed and developed a board game called "The Winning Wallet" as a fun and interactive way to educate younger students on the importance of managing their finances and being financially literate. The students have the opportunity to explain their innovation to Chair of the CCPC Mr. Brian McHugh, the Minister of State for Financial Services Mr. Robert Troy T.D. as well as representatives from the Central Bank, Revenue Commissioners and MABS. A wonderful platform for the girls to demonstrate and explain their initiative and how it could be used to develop an understanding of managing money in their peers.
