I am delighted to welcome you to Greystones Community College, the vibrant and dynamic developing multidenominational community college for Greystones. The school opened its doors for the first time in August 2020 and welcomed our first cohort of students. This was the first step on the journey to becoming a Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board ‘school of excellence’ for the community of Greystones.
My vision for Greystones Community College is to create a warm, welcoming, inclusive and innovative college which puts the learners at the centre of all activities. I am committed to developing a learning community where students, teachers and parents are encouraged, supported and challenged in the pursuit of the highest standards of achievement and academic excellence. Greystones Community College is built upon the foundation stones and core values of respect, excellence and pride in striving to create a school where we can all learn together.
I am privileged to have been appointed as the founding Principal and excited about the opportunity to lead this new and developing school from the outset. Together with our Deputy Principal, Ms. Maria Lynch, we are passionate about education and its ability to develop and transform young people into innovative and confident young adults. We are confident that this can be achieved through the building of respectful and supportive relationships between all stakeholders. That is the environment we are working to create at Greystones Community College!
In our short number of years in existence, we have earned the confidence of our students and their parents and guardians, not only as a school that cares but one that delivers high quality teaching and learning with educational excellence a key priority.
